Rowan Atkinson is a great English actor, comedian and screenwriter.

Atkinson was born in Consett, 6 January 1955. Rowan was educated at Durham Choristers School a preparatory school, St. Bees School, and Newcastle University, where he received a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Atkinson starred in a series of comedy shows for BBC Radio 3 in 1978 called The Atkinson People. It consisted of a series of satirical interviews with fictional great men, who were played by Atkinson himself.

After university, Atkinson toured with Angus Deayton. After the success of the show, he did a one-off pilot for London Weekend Television in 1979. Atkinson then went on to do Not the Nine OClock News for the BBC, produced by his friend John Lloyd.

Not the Nine OClock News it was success, after this project he got a starring role in the series colled The Black Adder.

Upon completion of The Black Adder he created character called Mr.Bean. It also was a great succes!
