New Zealand is a country in the south-western Pacific Ocean. It consist of two large islands and a number of other smaller islands.

New Zealand is home to a wide variety of animals, the most famous of which is the flightless bird, the kiwi which is also one of its emblems along with the silver fern.

The Kea is a large species of parrot found in forested and alpine regions of the South Island of New Zealand. It is the worlds only alpine parrot. The Kakapo, also called owl parrot, is a species of large, flightles,parrot endem ic to New Zealand.

National Park of New Zealand The national parks of New Zealand are 14 protected areas. The national parks contain some of New Zealands most beautiful scenery, the first few established were all focused on mountain scenery.
